I totally agree with you there, "Max" was out of line and should have welcomed you in with open arm. You say you will never go there again but i suggest you do because Max was supposedly fired. I am a regular customer there and the manager there is a man named Bruce. The food and service there is great, along with the atmosphere, so i suggest you give this place one more shot, you wont be dissapointed!!
We tried to book a holiday get together at the Baron but were told that we can not make reservations on a Friday night, so we just let them know how many people were coming as a "heads up". we were not about to change the date. When our group started to arrive, Max (the manager) came up to us and began interrogating us about not making proper arrangements for the evening. He said that we were going to upset his other customers if we order food and "jam up" the kitchen! We were not able to run tabs because his servers were not going to be able to keep everyone on a separate tab. then he proceeded to tell us that we were abrupt on the phone and hung up on him. (This went on for 10-15 minutes) I have no idea how long this man has been in the service industry, but if a group of 50 customers want to come to his business to order food and drinks, he should have been welcoming and happy that we chose his pub. Now all 50 of us will NEVER return to the Baron's Manor Pub!! Good Job Max! Your superior should be proud...
Just GREAT!
1. The staff is awesome.
2. The food is good. Gotta try the mexi-wrap! I think it secretly wants to be a burrito.
3. Great atmosphere for a pub lunch.
4. Close to the freeway.
5. It's not a commercial chain.
6. There's a cold beer and wine store downstairs with a WALK-IN cooler.
7. Cool patio in the summer.
Well, let's just say we gave this place one star because there is no options for NO stars ... I might be able to say the food was good ... But after 35 minutes of waiting we still had not had our order taken. Granted the server was busy ( I myself have been a server for 10 years ) but she did not even take the time to tell us she was busy .. We had our menus sitting at the end of the table for... more
Mediocre service and the $5 breakfast special was barely worth the price. Atmosphere was bland. Not a lot of energy. I can't recommend this place.
