not exciting enough
There's nothing to complain about at Athena, their food and service were good, but I feel there are so many better places to eat in Banff that you may want to pass over this one.

August 09, 2014Stopped here for lunch. All dishes were under very heavy tomato sauce. OK, but not too special. If you're looking for a quick meal.

Super fresh, tasty pizza

Seated quickly in a spacious restaurant, friendly and informative waitress, couldn't decide on beer, so was offered a free sample of each.
Food was great, not fancy, just really tasty, quick, and good value for money. I almost never have food boxed up after a meal, but had to make an exception for the "Canadian" pizza.
