Watch pewter come fresh out of the molds at this spacious workshop and gallery located in an 1888 building. You can get anything from tie tacks and earrings to candle holders and vases here; the Christmas tree ornament is a popular souvenir.

I just leaned about the mixture of elements to one general name "Pewter" at my visit to Amos shop. I had the free tour of how to make the pewter art and a quick lesson in physics about elements.

Appreciating all the work involved

I went in to learn about the art of working with pewter. There are on-going visits. It is a small place but well organized. There is always a person working behind the glass that can explain all the steps needed. Also lots of interpretive panels illustrating the history, uses and the process for working with pewter.
