I was referred to Ali's by local Jamaicans who said it's the best in town. Great food and roti, many great vegetarian options. Very friendly service, who were happy to explain everything and share their culture.
The paratha (buss-up-shut) roti is excellent. The food is delicious, fresh, and authentic. The service is pretty friendly and the wall murals are hilariously good. Honestly, this is a tiny mom & pop - you will def. get paper / styrofoam plates and plastic utensils, but if that doesn't bother you then you're in for some really good well-priced food... more
I came here for my caribbean food tour of Toronto. I had the goat curry roti and was frankly disappointed.
The roti wrapping was good. I could tell it was freshly made, some chewiness, but no smokiness i associate with good fresh roti.
