Does the phase "a hole in the wall" apply to used bookstores? If so, Alfsen is one. It is cramped with paperbacks. It is great if you are looking for some popular old novels, like a whole series of Stephen King books, or Black Daggers Brotherhood. I bought a few paperback at $4 each.

This is a gem of bookstores in the GTA...
Located on Markham Main Street, it's very much on the road less traveled.
The bookstore is literally the bottom floor of an old Victorian house, complete with squeaky floors, and it is literally jammed (right to the back of the house) with an endless collection of books. Just a maze of shelves and stacks. You could spend a whole day in the shop and not... more
