We booked a single night on expedia.ca and paid about $100 plus $9 for parking to attend the Stratford festival. The hotel's recent renovations mainly appear to be the addition of an elevator and paint. The rooms have a 1950's feel to them; the bathroom fixtures and tile would be comfortable in your grandmother's house. A thermostat in the room... more
It's NOT ritzy with endless amenities (no room-service, Wi-Fi, wet bars, etc.). It IS a decent, clean, place to get a comfortable night's sleep at a reasonable rate after a long day at the festival. It’s an old building, with all the quirks of one. I found it quaint, perhaps even charming, for my 3 night stay.
