Terrible Delivery Service
The delivery company that this store uses is the worst one that I have ever dealt with.
We bought a couch from this store, the delivery was scheduled for between 4 and 7pm. At 7:30, I called the store to inquire why the couch had not arrived yet - they gave me the driver's number. When I called the driver, he said that he'd be at our place in an hour (ie. 8:30). When the two men finally showed up after 9pm, they were obviously drunk! The were yelling out and disturbing all of our neighbours - we were asked what all the noise was about the next day!
The couch was not fitting with the cardboard box through our gate, so they ripped off the cardboard, brought in the couch (while still yelling), then proceeded to throw all the cardboard all over our yard. When questioned about their behaviour, the response was "That's my gift from me to you". RUDE!
The next day, I called the store to complain. The manager told me that there is no way that the driver was drunk - WE WERE THERE AND DEALT WITH THESE MEN, THE MANAGER WASN'T THERE, HOW WOULD HE KNOW? He also gave me a phone number for the "owner" of the delivery company - who turned out to be the same man that told us that the cardboard all over our property was his gift to us. When I told the manager this, he said that he'll "have a talk with him". I doubt that anything will be done about this.
I will never return to Accent Furniture Warehouse as long as they deal with the same delivery company.
Very pleased with service and products
I have been purchasing products from this store for the past 3 years since I had moved into my new home in Mississauga and I recently purchased yet another piece of furniture from them, which I was exceedingly pleased with. I recommend this store to anyone - very friendly honest reliable sales staff - never let me down or any of my friends i've recommended it to, to date.
In response to sc below -as far as I know and they have always conveyed to me, they sub contract their deliveries, so any problems such as the ones you've had related to delivery people damaging floor, showing up slightly late and playing with cutting knife is really the responsibility of the delivery company and not the store. As for your chair model not arriving, that is unfortunate, but minor. And I can see that they did resolve the problem via replacing the table asap, which is extremely rare in my past experiences with furniture stores, I might add. In my experience and my friends experiences, nothing as such has gone wrong, so it is very unfortunate and I would think very rare that it would happen with you. Everyone is human and I would also like to stress that the management and sales staff at this store have always gone above and beyond my expectations and I have never been let down once. This is why I was very shocked reading your comment, but I can understand your frustration. Any store though, including the Brick, Leons and other known chains have problems from time to time as well, as I have heard. The people at this store however are very friendly, honest, polite people who do everything in their power to keep a customer satisfied, and I would recommend them to anyone.. not to mention that their prices are amazingly reasonable! I will definitely be returning to this store for my future furniture needs, without a doubt.
The Worst Costumer Service Ever.
We purchased a kitchen table November 7,2009 at Accent Furniture Warehouse. We were told at the time of purchase that the set would be available on 2 different days. The chairs on November 22,2009 and the table on December 6,2009. After no word from the company and several follow up calls. The set was "suppose" to be ready on December 14. When arriving, the store realized that they had never ordered our chairs even though our invoice clearly had the description and model number of the order and we were told that they were never going to order those chairs so to pick different ones. After waiting 5 weeks and having no table and chairs at home we complied. Upon arrival at home we opened the box containing the table and without even taking it out of the box we noticed it was damaged, clearly frustrated we called the store and had to argue that a delivery be done the next day with a new table. We had to pay the $25 delivery charge. We agreed on a time of 6-8pm. 9:00 p.m. rolls around and without 1 phone call again we had to call the store after several calls back and forth and lame excuses the delivery men showed up at 10:45pm on a Tuesday evening. As they are bringing the table into the kitchen they drop it and crack our brand new hardwood. When we open the "new" table box it is too damaged, at this point its 11pm and we refuse to pay the charges. We now have 2 damaged tables, cracked hardwood floor and are frustrated beyond belief with the lack of customer service. After refusing to pay the delivery charge and not being able to contact the store at this point its 11:15pm, one of the delivery men becomes annoyed and grabs an exacto knife that we were using to open up the boxes and slides it up and down, in a tactic to scare us. None the less we paid the $25 just to get them out of our home.

Purchased bedroom and living room furniture
October 09, 2008I have moved several times in the last few years and found myself needing new bedroom furniture and some living room pieces as well. Accent Furniture was recommended to me by a colleague at work and I found exactly what I was looking for there and was pleased with the pricing and friendly service.
