A little Italian charmer
In a homey cosy atmosphere, the service is superb, and the food is very good. Makes a great little downtown place for that special occasion when Italian is callling you, but you want something a little more intimate.
Old style Italian atmosphere and comfort food
It's like coming home to Papa and Mama at Abruzzo. At home feeling in this architectural restaurant that emulates a big home. Nice table settings and good service. The food is great Italian, just a bit pricey, but go there for a special dinner and it's worth it.

Like sitting down at the owners kitchen table in Abruzzo abruzzi.wordpress.com Italy. Large portions and good prices. Not to miss.

Some of the best authentic Italian food I have eaten in a very long time. Not a place for a large family looking for cheap pasta dishes, but an excellent choice for couples and more intimate gatherings.
Prices are fair for food of this calibre. Service is warm and welcoming. Nice selection of wines.

Skip the liguine alle vongole
June 02, 2014This linguine alle vongole with white wine sauce was truly one of the worst I've ever eaten. I was very disappointed because in past visits it was fantastic. The pasta it self was cooked to perfection as was the salmon and shrimp.

the saying is never judge a book by its cover
this restaurant epitomises that saying
from the outside Abruzzo is most forgettable and even looks off putting crowded by dirty concrete buildings and an off whit facade, but what a hidden gem is inside.
excellent food, wonderful wine and great friendly service, definitely one to try when in Calgary
