90% Hair Still there

8 treatments later hair is 90% still there vs 90% gone as told when bought the package. I have not gone back in a year as its a waste of time and the drive. I mainly booked most of my appointments with Robin and have no complaints against her personally as she was very good to me. I had bought the package from a different girl who dramatized the end results...i am nowhere even close to 50% less hair. At 2 appointments the machine would randomly turn off because it was not working properly. I have not gone back as last time i called they said they will now charge me for my appointments as the cost of machines have gone up but when i bought i was told there will be a couple free treatments if needed. I was obviously lied to inorder to sell the package. I am writing this review now as i just realized people are having/had similar issues.

100% Unsatisfied Client...Glad i did not take the job.

I have been a loyal customer at this place for over a year. I was told if i buy a package of 8 treatments and if i follow the given schedule of when to come in for my laser appointments i would get complimentary touch ups. I followed the schedule 100% as the only reason i bought the package of 8 was to get the touch ups. At the time of the purchase i was also told that i might just require 1 or 2 touch ups as they laser is very effective. Now after 3 touch ups i am being told there was never a such thing of complimentary touchs ups. When i asked if there was never such a thing then why was i given 3 free touch ups i was told by the owner that she is not sure that who ever did them must have miscounted the treatments even though i could clearly see all my treatments were numbered 1, 2, 3 etc and she was the one who did 2 of them. I was not 100% satisfied from the beginning also as one of the owners would constantly talk about her health problems which was odd as i am not very talkative. I have read all the reviews on here and was not surprised with the ratings except for the last one by Carly. When i walked into this place i knew it was not a spa as i have been to many spas like Wild Orange Spa, Fresh Canvas Day Spa, Spa Utopia, Soft Touch Day Spa etc. Maybe the difference if i had something to compare with. The services for a spa are very limited too. They do 2 typed of laser hair removal, facials, micros, relaxation massage and that is it. I also applied for a job at this place in respond to a craigslist add for an Esthetician. The starting pay was $10 hourly. I was also to be trained on the job to do all these without pay as i am not certified. I was told if i was to get certified i would be getting $12hr. That also sounded fishy to me. My training would have consisted of 10hrs buddying up with someone to learn facials, micros, and relaxation massages. In return my 10 hr training would be enough to charge people of $70 a treatment. I did not go through with it as i knew i would be scamming people. The last employee that worked there tried to sell me a facial, when i asked who would do it she said either her or another lady...i took the opportunity to ask her what her qualifications are at that time and she said she was trained be observing 2 facials and that was it. She said she was told to learn massages also the same way but she refused too as she did not feel comfortable doing them. It was basically them same way i was told i would be trained. If they were to honour my package with complimentary touch ups i would not be here today but as i see others are currently going through this as well i thought i should save someone else the stress and money i am out. Also after all the appointments the results are very poor. Instead of shaving 3 times a week now i shave 2 times a week. I was told i would be shaving once a month the most. I have had better results at other laser places in a shorter time frame. I also noticed that some reviews from this place about a year ago to and quite a few recently and that is because they just started to stop honoring these packages. I am glad my review will help someone make that final decision of where to go. Good day
P.S. If Weblocal needs to contact me inregards to this review plz do so. Simply removing posts of clients is not right as it takes time to put them up and let others know about their experience. That is the whole point of even doing a review and rating on a business.

Bad Service

SCAM ARTISTS!!! I bought a package deal with Abby Laser Spa on their grand opening in 2010. The package deal was 8 IPL treatments plus unlimited touch ups up to 90% of hair was removed (Along with myself, 20 other people bought this same package). I have been going consistently to all of my appointments since 2010, and now the two owners are saying that they do not recall ever selling unlimited touch ups.. hmm so for two years they were just being generous?!?… My grandmother, my sister and I went into Abby Laser Spa a week ago to talk to one of the owners regarding my package and she agreed that I had 8 treatments and unlimited touch ups up to 90% and then when I went into their “spa” today she totally DENIED THE WHOLE CONVERSATION like it never happened (what a liar!) .. both of the owners even went as far as blaming their previous owner that she only sold the unlimited touch ups to close the deal. But regardless, I bought the package under “Abby Laser Spa” The one thing I don’t understand is why they are honoring the unlimited touch ups to some clients who bought the package and not to other... is it just me or does this seem unfair and unreliable??

The owners are very UNPROFESSIONAL.. they lack communication between each other and between clients… one owner says one thing and the other owner has the complete opposite to say, they have a habit of talking about other clients to other clients, the owners do talk behind each others back (one owner told me that the other owner is “rude” and “stubborn”), they did burn one of my aunt’s face, they do not call customers back, two times my sister has gone in and no one was at the shop during store hours, the owner cancelled my sister’s appointment 3 hours before the appointment even though their store policy is to give 24 hour cancellation notice, facials are not done by experienced people, their machines break down often, and the list does go on.... I have heard from previous employees that the owners when giving facials that they use baby oil instead of the nature oils. I have also heard from a previous employee that the owner when giving a microdermabrasion she only had enough crystals for one client but had two clients booked in for a microdermabrasion and what she did was use cleanser beads on one of the clients… talk about ripping customers off.

A month ago, I went in for a touch up and the owner (the lady who claims she has 7 years of experience) missed so much of my hair. I called her two days later to let her know this, she got very defensive and wouldn’t even consider me coming in so she could take a look at my face. So then I had to get my mom to call her because she is very difficult to talk to and she started to yell at my mom over the phone like a crazy lady over an issue that was so little… all I wanted to do was to show her my face. As a “professional” she should have said to come in and let me look at your face. The funny thing is when I went to show the other owner my face, she was shocked at all the hair that was missed.

Also, before I started hearing all of these stories I went in for a facial (sometime in 2011) and the owner put the steamer on my face and I told her that I have make up on and she said it was okay so I thought nothing of it… so the lady who actually did my facial was shocked that the owner put the steamer on my face while I had make up on because she said that the steam was opening up my pours and that my make up was getting into my skin (as someone who claims to have “7 years of experience” should know to take off the make up).

So before you consider making an appointment with Abby Laser, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!! I have been going for 2 years and my hair growth is still pretty much the same… I don’t know if their machines are not good or they do not maintain them properly… but I did not get good results ..so buyers beware!!!! If anyone has any other questions, or wants to contact me feel free (I also have pictures to show) I just want to get the word out and warn people before they make a deal with these kinds of people ([email protected])

Horrible! Worst experience ever. Don't go! I'm gonna write a long one because it was that bad.

I bought a deal off of a group deals website for a 2 hour Mother's Day package for my girlfriend as a bday surprise. Supposly it comes with a 1 hr facial, 30 min back massage, 20 min scalp massage, 10 min eyebrow shaping plus a "bonus gift for taking the time to care for yourself". All this for $65.... more
