The food at 259 Host is great and well-priced. The service and decor are the best parts about the restaurant. It feels very warm and sophisticated.
For "traditionally flavoured" Indian fare in a "casual" setting, fans "often visit" this "accessible" chainlet attended by servers who are "fast but not pushy"; naysayers who deem it "ordinary" are outnumbered by those insisting "the quality is good", so it's an overall "reliable" choice.
On a recent trip to toronto my wife and I came across this restaurant quite by chance.Great food, good wine list with discreet and attentive service. A good balance of meat and vegetarian meals. The jack fruit curry was particularly good.We were so impressed we "squeezed in" another visit 2 days later!

Needed a place to have a bit before a ball game and this fit the bill. The menu is not your general Indian menu but more limited, eclectic dishes. In this multi-leveled space diners can peer through a semi-opaque screen to watch chef Sanjeev Sethi prepare his well-known contemporary Indian cuisine. Dinner features lobster tail coated with fresh red pepper paste, award-winning butter chicken and an inspired vegetarian-friendly jack fruit masala. Lunch, dinner daily. Casual. Entrees: $11-$24.
