We actually went before last year, and were sad that it was closed for a while. We have taken groups to their Christmas event where you can book the downstairs room for tea as well and it was wonderful. Gorgeous location!
Both our children became Canadian citizens at Woodside. They have a Canada Day citizenship ceremony that should be experienced at least once in your lifetime - even if you are already a citizen. Makes your heart beat a little more proudly and it really is a lovely location.
I love this National Historic Site, the Victorian Kitchener Home of Mackenzie King's family.
SHAME on the Present Harper Government for allowing it to be closed.
