Great Meeting Spot
My friend and I use Williams as a meeting spot that's halfway between Hamilton and Oakville so it works for both of us. The location is convenient, as it's right off the highway. There's ample seating and we've never had to wait for a spot. The food is consistent and the service is fine. The booth seating allows for some privacy and there is no feeling of being rushed to leave.
Good but disappointing
I met a friend for a hot bevvy at Williams yesterday and we ordered their featured drink of the day, the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Mmmmm, so fall-like! We asked for it to be made with skim milk and the girl serving us said that they didn't have any skim milk, only 2%. I was amazed! I have never, ever been to a coffee bar that doesn't have skim or 1% milk. When we questioned her, she was very rude and kept saying, we only have 2%. No explanation of "oh we just ran out but we normally carry it". I wasn't impressed. Thankfully, the young man who brought our drinks to our table was extremely pleasant.
Later on I went back up for a glass of water and there was one young man working the cash, he was with a customer. A manager looking person saw me waiting and instead of helping me, asked another staff member if anyone was helping at the front. I'm certain that a manager would know how to use the cash.
Bottom line, the drink was good but Starbuck's and Second Cup are better. They do have food there, which I've had in the past, and it is good, but pricey. Likely won't go out of my way to go there again.

Surprised it was so busy

Our visit and those of the patrons was full of mistakes. We were overcharged for our meal. Two of three meals were incorrectly presented and one meal was very poor (French Onion soup combo). Similar experience for those beside us - the manager spent more time apologizing for incorrect or late orders.
Staff does not know the menu very well...

Lousy quality
February 12, 2011Went on a Sunday morning. Ordered their premium breakfast then learned that they were "out of waffles". How do you not have your signature item on a Sunday morning. Also had minimal variety of muffins. 3/4 of their baked goods shelf was empty. Worst part was the breakfast they served. The fried potatoes were at least a few hours old, and perhaps a day old. They obviously just nuked them. Eggs... more
