Being a fan of Swans pub I had to try the Bistro, it has been closed for a while being renovated but we finally made it in last week.
The decor is great, I love open kitchens as you cannot hide your sins.
Better yet there is even a camera in the kitchen with a screen in the dining room.
The presentation of the food was 5 stars, the taste matched and the desserts were incredible (my favorite part of a meal)
I had the risotto app. which was cooked perfectly.
My main was home made pasta stuffed with pork, I wish more restaurants made their own pasta as the difference is night and day.
Dessert was a chocolate mousse which was crazy good.
Without a doubt the best meal I have had in Victoria, I will be back for more

Ate here on Saturday night (June 7) with my parents. I had halibut, my dad had "rack of lamb" which was actually three chops, and my mother had tenderloin. Found this restaurant while looking for somewhere without burgers or TV! Pleasantly surprised by the variation of food on the menu, and enjoyed a quality meal. Good relaxed service, and would return again. Best food so far on our trip, and well priced.
Food tasted terrible, plus I got big chunks of rock salt in my salsa verde. Now imagine the sensasion when you bite into that. The noodles on one of the fish dishes were undercooked and the broth was luke warm. Total disappointment.

Wild Saffron is located in the Swans Hotel and is worth a visit even if you aren't a guest there.
