Excellent Food and Service

I came to this restaurant on a recommendation from a co-worker. It's a quaint little bistro located in Riverview area of Coquitlam. It's decor is rustic but not too old fashioned. Tastefully done without being cluttered. We were seated promptly and were greeted by a friendly server who explained everything on the menu, as well as the specials. The pasta dishes are absolutely superb, I have yet to find another restaurant that serves pasta as well as this. Their lamb is a good size and is tender and full of flavour. Their salads are meals themselves, quite large and filling. They have entrees that are for people who enjoy the norm all the way up to entrees for more adventurous individual. Their menu is simple yet each choice is very distinct. Unlike other restaurants that bombard you with so many different choices, you are given a choice of appetizer, entree and desert that best suit your appetite. Their sauces, dressings and marinades are all made in-house. They have a handsome list of wines from local wineries as well as wines imported from Italy, Australia, England and France. The washrooms are clean and tidy, very well kept and surprisingly quite large. The deserts are to die for, possibly the best deserts I've had in the Tri-City area and amongst the best in the greater Vancouver area as well. Their desert menu changes every couple of days to it's best to call ahead to see if they have what you're looking for, although you probably can't go wrong with anything on their desert menu. The food is fantastic, possibly one of the best dinners I've had in a while. Their prices are very modest considering the quality. The same dishes with the same portion size and quality would cost much more in metro Vancouver. This is a great little restaurant, a definite must for those looking for something a little different.
