When this store first opened in Squamish way back in 2006, it was quite nice... and a nice clean friendly place to shop. But since then it has gone through two different store managers and it's not as nice as it used to be..it's gone down hill. You really have to be careful buying food there and check VERY VERY carefully for expirey dates...especially in the dairy section. I have seen lots of expired food for sale on the shelves....especially sandwich meat, cheese, milk and yogurt... also the dairy cooler is usually always dirty..with spilled milk, and egg yolk spilled on the shelves...yuck!! Alot of times there are missing labelson the shelves too so I haven't a clue what something costs...It just seems to me that this store has become dirty and cluttered...it's as if the staff doesnt care any more. The manager doesnt seem to be very friendly at all...which is a pity. It's always nice to shop in stores with friendly staff....alot of the staff at this Walmart seem to be unhappy..but than again they work for Walmart....what can you expect!
They actually listen to what you have to say and engage you in conversation about what you want and why. They make recommendations, even suggesting when an item might be on sale next week if you don't mind waiting. Compared to the Source, I would reccomend them any time.
awsome selection and great staff
Needed stuff for the Whistler trip.
Just Bieber posters (don't ask).
Tiger Beat Magazine. (again, don't ask, but if you must know, a Japanese teenager who's in love with the Bieber and Selena Gomez.)
Can't say much about liking it, but today it was about staples and it was convenient.
It was also a place that I could rant about Apple juice that doesn't... more
I had to laugh at the previous review .... a store smelling of 'newness' ... uh, it's selling new products ... duh.
Anyway, stopped here while traveling from Whistler to Vancouver and found it to be a well-run store. It's aisles were clean and the staff helpful. I've been to a large number of Wal-Marts and this one is worth visiting.
While I only planned to buy one item, I kept finding all... more
This store stinks. It so full of scents from products and the packaging and the newness of the store that I had to leave as it was giving me a headache.
"A rose by any other name still smells the same"
Have I mentioned that Wal-Mart stinks?
