Why have I been going to the LCBO?!

I made a batch of Amarone in their middle level about 6 months ago. It is INCREDIBLE!! I was paying $40 a bottle at the LCBO, it comes out to about $6 a bottle at Vintners. A section of my basement is now a dedicated wine cellar. Downside is I have to age the wine about 6 months before it gets really good. It was pretty good right from when we bottled it though and I think a lot of people just drink it right away.. I wish we hadn't drunk most of the batch already. I started another batch last week so I am slowly going to build up a selection of wine in the basement. I just have to have it made faster than I drink it.

Our wedding wine was amazing!

We made four batches of their middle quality and we recieved a lot of compliments at the wedding. They also hosted a private bottling party for us. We will be back, I never realized that home made wine could be so good. Patrick
