Housed in Vancouver's former city morgue, this museum displays thie history of crime and law enforcement in Vancouver. Displays include historical crimes, tools for scientific (forensic) investigation and more.
If you have a real fascination with crime, this museum will occupy an hour of your time; if not, I wouldn't recommend a visit. The museum is on the second floor of the old BC Coroner building. There is no elevators and two flights of stairs. It's a older building with no air condition - so it's hot in the summer.

The word 'museum' makes me think of a sprawling building with dirt coloured artifacts labelled with small font. However, the Vancouver Police Museum is nothing of the sort. Located in the historic coroner's office, this museum is on the small side, so you don't have to worry about getting lost in it. Very interesting and fun small museum, with brilliant information about the Vancouver Police Department.
There were small and enlightening exhibits about women in the Vancouver police (women were only allowed to carry firearms and do normal patrol duty in 1973!), the mounted police, the ERT special squad, confiscated weapons, counterfeit money, and so much else!
