Damascus Pizza & Donair
Had a really good experience dinning in last night. Friday and it wasn't busy at all, maybe the nice weather or something. Anyhow the food was great, service average and the bill came out a LOT less than I expected! Present surprise indeed. My girlfriend had the Donair meal & I ate the 'Surf & Turf' summer special. With two domestic beer & soup of the day. The desserts looked decadent yet once again no room for that! Better order off the seniors or kids menu next time and try a dessert. Also their take-out pizza is the best I have tried in town yet, watch for the specials as regular prices are a tad high.

We seldom admit going there but we all do! These mega huge discount stores are all alike, same layout, expectations and service. If you are on the west coast or east they are if nothing else consistent. The trick is to only buy what you went there for, the clever marketing of sale items in the isle and the basic store layout has you buying a bit more each visit. Do try and support the independents when you can, the corner store will save you gas money & time in the long run.

Being a difficult customer in this field I came to Bruce (owner) with a unusual request back in February. I wanted a custom single speed mountain bike built with 'Fat' chain & rings. Not the easiest beast to build, in fact there was only one manufacture that has a conversion crank set from MTB standard to BMX. Needless to say it became a long process and to get me out on the trails sooner I am riding a 'loaner' drive train until the correct part arrives. Friendly family atmosphere with a bike for everyone. They earned my business if for nothing else going the extra mile & getting me out riding!

Needed rear brake shoes for truck. The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) Came out to 207$! I promptly returned said brake shoes after a few calls, highway robbery! APM had rebuild shoes for...42$ with tax! It doesn't take a mathematician to figure out the better deal. Thanks APM! I will do business with you again!

Smitty's Family Restaurant
Its been a while (1990's) sense I ate at Smitty's. The new items on the menu showed they have kept up with the times. Everyone loves the all day breakfasts (two at my table had the 'country skillet' for dinner) yet I was pleased to dine on the Salmon dinner. Everyone was happy & had no room for the delicious looking desserts. Shame, next time we will save some room!

Why I refuse to eat there or support their mega franchise. Went in to pick up food for my girl friend & her son. The service was very slow, I could have received training and made my own faster! Why do they hire 3-4 terrible employees when 1 good one can get more done! The kid was reading 1 item at a time, getting it, returning & then reading the next item! The customer before me had his order completely messed up. Have a good McDay! Sorry I have no place in my gut or spare change for their so called food.

Hot fresh coffee has been keeping the east coast fueled & awake for decades. Had some issues with grounds in the coffee, a talk with the manager had this sorted out soon enough. They know my girlfriend by first name & are very friendly. Good location, too busy at times.

Always fresh & consistent. These folks serve a lot of fish so expect good food, family atmosphere and at times line ups. Service is always excellent. The 'buy 1 two piece fish dinner & get the second for 1/2 price is good value for $. Take a friend for fish dinner!

“Take-out for 4 was 70$ ???”

For 70$ there better be leftovers! Ordered 5 dishes and was very disappointed with the portion sizes. The 7$ serving of rice was in a small Styrofoam cup! I will admit the food tasted excellent yet the high cost had this customer wanting more for my $. In fact 1/2 hour later we broke out appetizers to fill the void the skimpy meal left.

Out of the way & underground, pun intended! Food was average with large portions. First go tried the lobster dish which was like a stir fried mix of vegetables and bits of lobster thrown in. Second time tried the daily special on a Thursday and was more happy with my selection. Recommend the chicken balls. Looking forward to sampling more off their menu in the future.
