“Way too pretentious for their sub-par pizza”
Pizza Pazzi
I ordered the di parma pizza which was meant to come with 24-month old prosciutto, basil, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. The pizza I got had one piece of basil on it and next to no tomato sauce. I asked for a side of sauce and was told that "due to an issue they no longer offer a side of marinara sauce". I was a little dumbfounded. I've heard of pretentious restaurants before but had never experienced this for myself, and definitely didn't think this would happen in Toronto. I was especially perplexed because 2 other people in my party had ordered pizzas which came out with ample sauce. Definitely not worthy of "best pizza in Toronto"--the crust was chewy, difficult to cut with the bread knife provided, and tasted more similar to Indian Naan bread than pizza crust.
