I am a terrible sewer, so have "sewing anxiety" but if I need help with my sewing needs, I like to go here because the people are so nice and do not push you to buy something when you don't need it. They have cool contests, too, and I love to see the entries on display.
After checking out every store in town, we settled on a mattress at Sleep Country as this is where we found the best price for the type of mattress we found comfortable. There was lots of selection to choose from.
There is more than just furniture here. I like their picture frames, candle holders, and other "knickknacks." A little trendy but fun, and I agree with joyandfrustration that it's nice to be able to browse without being stalked. That's usually when I choose to buy something, when I'm not feeling pressured.
My grandson has been going here for a year now and I have attended several of his sessions. He absolutely loves it here and is learning a tremendous amount from "Mr. T." I am amazed at their ingenious equipment.
I have two massage therapy clinics in town that I go to because unfortunately you can't always get an apt. with the first place you call. One of the two places I go is Kamloops Therapeutic Massage and they (both Shannon and Bev) are great. They really work h@!%!*n you and they are very comfortable to be with as well.
I already had my own dentist so have not changed, but my husband has gone to Ray Allegretto for years, and so have our good friends. They love him. My husband has had difficulty with going to the dentist all his life, but Ray makes it so much more comfortable.
Love the name, CANADIAN tire, and there are lots of items I need where I think, "Canadian Tire should sell them," but frequently when I go there they don't have what I need. Not an easy shopping experience. Very tall shelves, cramped aisles, not easy to find an item or a salesperson. And the salespeople, when you do find them, are not consistently knowledgeable.
Apparently there are different classes of Bay stores, e.g. A, B, C and we are not one of the higher ones, so don't get the best merchandise. I know that I usually find better women's clothing at the Bay in Kelowna and many of the ones in Vancouver. That being said, though, I find the staff at our Kamloops Bay to be excellent.

I can't say enough good things about this credit union. My elderly mother has dealt with them for decades. They know her by name and always rush to help her when she goes in. You don't get personalized service like this at many financial institutions.
