When I discovered it was not really a Mac I phoned them twice to talk about what had happened. They put me off both times and told me they would get back to me. They did not.
I wrote them a registered setting out my Claim against them, that they had sold me the Mac as new. It did not work right . I kept taking it back to them and they claimed that they had fixed it and charged me every time. Finally I took the computer to the Apple Store. They knew from the box that it was in and the case that it was not an Apple, and the man I spoke to said it did not even contain the whole Apple Computer program.
I was shocked; they had charged me the full price of the computer and led me to believe it was an Apple. Instead it was cobbled together somewhere out there in the world. As a new Apple user and as a customer of Black Lab I trusted them. They defrauded me.
I wrote them a registered letter stating my claim and the damages they had caused me. They never replyed as they did not reply to my phone calls.
I next contacted the BBB, who notified them of my complaint and asked them to respond. They never did.
I contacted Small claims court to get information on making a claim against them in that court. After reading the information about costs I discovered it could cost me $ 500 or even more. i am a senior on a fixed income and simply cannot afford to spend that amount of money more on this lost cause.
At the same time their clients are ordinary people who shop at Safeway at 152nd and Fraser Highway in Surrey and live in that area. They do business in that small mall. I do not believe they should be able to do business and get away with it. If they have done this to me there is no doubt in my mind that they have done it to others.
