Charging absorbitant amounts without any explanation

Ultra Air Conditioning recently came to do a maintenance service quoted at $76 plus taxes and parts and I got a bill for just under $300. First they replaced one part. Then came back and said another part needed to be replaced and they had to go to the store to pick it up. Then after all this, I was informed my compressor had gone to ground.

And my heat pump is still not working. I got another company, Filmore heating to come quote. Not only were they 50% cheaper but they explained to me that the work Ultra Air Conditioning had provided was to change parts that didn't need changing once they established the compressor needed to be replaced.

I've never felt so stupid in being taken advantage of. I'm now in dispute with this company over the exorbitant charge they are claiming.

Filmore heating have been upfront on all costs and I'm impressed with the service I got. This is what I expect from a service provider.
