Opened in 1959, Montreal's first Breton crêpe house is charming. The menu goes well beyond the trademark crêpes made from wheat or buckwheat flour. Almost all the appetizers, from the green salad to the escargots, are garlic-oriented.

Don't be fooled by the breton-like decorations: this is not an authentic crêperie. Any homemade crêpes (which are very easy to make by the way) would be far better -not to mention far cheaper- than the tasteless and dry things with mediocre toppings they serve there. If you are looking for authentic crepes when in Montreal, look no further. I've tried many places here in Montreal, but NOTHING beats Ty Breiz when it comes to Crepes.
