The Thunderbird Inn is definitely down-market. The room was large but the decor, carpet & furnishings was very, very old and smelly. The shower in the bathroom did not work. The walls were thin and we could hear our neighbours conversation. The whole building had the look and feel of being a "shed." Luckily we arrived very late and left again very early next day.
The room at the Thunderbird was fine but the building is very tired. Reception were helpful. The restaurant was not open and appeared unlikely to do so. Reception referred us to a good restaurant a short walk away. The entry to the building is shabby and potholed. Not recommended for a longer stay.
