Planning an event? Don't book at the OSC!!!

OSC is a wonderful place to take little ones and they really DO make learning about science fun! If you're planning an event, however, I DO NOT recommend OSC. Firstly, the packages are WAYYY overpriced, secondly, the coordinator just kept adding additional 'fees'. Not only that, but a lot of things went wrong during the event and reflected negatively on the event itself and those of us who planned it. Cool venue, but NOT WORTH THE HASSLE! Seriously, don't book an event here!

worth buying a membership

membership pays for itself in about two visits. and it's a great place to go with young kids even if it is just for a couple of hours. the kidspark is a great spot. and my young kids 2&4 love wondering around the rest of the centre as well. members also get discounts on admissions to special exhibits and the imax films. it is a wonderful place to wander and learn.

Learning can be fun!

The Science centre is a great place for kids as well as Adults - there is something for everyone!
They always have fun exhibits going on (Like Body Works or Harry Potter) and while most of the exhibits are geared at kids, grown ups can get alot out of it too! Fun AND Education!

Since this pioneering interactive science museum opened in 1969, generations of Toronto's kids, and their offspring, have proven loyal fans. It's not surprising: The hands-on approach to exploring the wide world of science is absolutely thrilling. With more than 800 exhibits, there is an abundance of things to touch, push, pull, or crank. Test your reflexes, or balance, or heart rate, or grip... more

Beware the Litter Box Raccoons
May 28, 2014

The wildlife in the area have adapted to dumpster-diving as a means of survival. Be cautious around the Trash receptacles around the exterior of the Ontario Science Center... there might be a raccoon inside! I mentioned the raccoon "problem" to the ticket desk person but she said "they are always around... they (the raccoons) usually have a pattern and patrol... more
