Had a holiday in own city
My husband and I decided to get away for awhile and took a 4 day holiday in our own city. We stayed at The Macdonald Hotel. I never felt so welcomed at a hotel before. The food was excellent and the employees so attentive. We will be doing this again.

“make sure where your room is”
May 18, 2013everything was fine except our room was right across from the ice machine. Last time we were right across from the elevator. Ask where your room is when you check in. Also, valet parking is a scam. They charge $26 a day. You can park for a month in Edmonton for $26. The valet has a rehersed speech wher he tells you self park is $26 a day and valet is also $26 a day. What a deal eh - he tells... more

May 18, 2013Had an enjoyable and very comfortable stay just for one night in a luxurious room in this hotel. This hotel is very quiet, and being a Fairmont hotel, has a lot of rich history. May 18, 2013This is a fabulous hotel. The rooms and ambience of the hotel is wonderful. It is in a prime location downtown overlooking the river valley. The food in the restraunt was great. The rooms are beautiful. The atmosphere is very restful and peaceful. The staff so friendly. The offered rates were also considerably better than at other 4 to 5 star hotels in the city. Will definately stay there again.
