Awesome Experience

I went to the Drake a couple weekends ago on a Saturday night for the first time. The layout of the Drake allows the average bar goer the chance to party it up to top forty on the main floor or head to the basement were you can enjoy a total different music experience. I would definitely hit up the Drake again!!

Great For A First Date!

I love the Drake Hotel, I think it is really nice and they have amazing food. It is pretty pricey, but other than that I absolutely adore giong there. I went there on a couple of first dates and I think it is a great place for a first date. It's classy, not too dark or too bright and it is relaxed and charming. I really have a good time when I go there.

Once a notorious flophouse, this 19th-century building is now an ultra-hip hotel peppered with contemporary art and attracting a chic, creative crowd. Hanging near the lobby's 66-year-old terrazzo staircase is a Rorschach ink-blot mural that spans the lounge and dining room. Vintage 1950s leather couches, modern ottomans, art curios, and digital-art projections grace the lobby. Flat-screen TVs,... more

The Drake Hotel - self-proclaimed as the city's "Hot Bed For Culture" - is a modern boutique hotel and one-stop experience that makes both nightlife lovers and design nerds soil their trousers. After its February 2004 renovation and reopening - and consequent backlash from the gentrification police - the slick hotel has now become the unofficial hub of the West Queen West district... the "de... more

The menu items are as varied as the places to eat at this multi-purpose hotspot. There's the sidewalk café, lunch and evening lounges, a sushi bar, a dining room, a couple more bars, a terrace and, if all else fails, room service. The Drake's globe-trotting menus range from yummy tuna sandwiches to funky veggie cassoulet to a way-out combo of braised lamb with mint and chocolate. The Drake is... more
