If you wait too long to book a room in Stratford, this is what is left. If it were reasonably priced I could forgive cracked tile, stained carpet etc. Lobby and hallways are presentable so perhaps they are fixing it in stages. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Stayed at the end of October. Window a/c unit was still in the window which not only made it FREEZING in the room, but there was a gap larger than my hand which was covered by a simple piece of cardboard. We could hear people talking across the street! Not a nice sleep
Our room overlooked Albert St. with a parking lot directly across, and a bar and eatery behind that. We turned in around 11pm and noticed some noise which grew louder as the night progressed. We heard yelling, cursing and squealing tires from the parking lot area which did not stop until after 3am, when the bar closed. The Albert St Inn was built in 1881 originally as the Windsor Hotel, the first hotel in Stratford. New owners bought in January of 2006, and are working to restore the hotel back to the dame that she use to be.
