We bought a 2008 F350 from Teamford/Go Auto in January 2013, to date; this vehicle has been in their repair shop 6 times in this past year. Warranty was forced on my husband for this vehicle, however each time the vehicle goes in, he is told half the repairs won’t be covered under this vehicle. We have basically bought a lemon. My husband loses $1000 a day as he uses his truck for his company. Each time the vehicle goes in the repair shop, it sits there for 2 – 3 weeks for repairs to be done. If you do the math, this vehicle has lost us a lot of money by just sitting in the repair shop.
We spoke with sales manager, service manager and finally Darrel Gretzkey the general manager, who all just tried to upsell my husband a brand new vehicle that would cost us additional $60,000
Finally when the vehicle went in for the 6th time, due to the turbo needing replaced, my husband finally said he would look at a newer truck. This dealership got in a 2013 F350 with 63,000km that was in pretty rough shape. We talked to Darrel about this vehicle for a trade in, not only did Darrel lower the trade in value for our truck but refused to lower the asking price of $51,000 on this 2013 when retail suggested resale value as per blackbook this truck is only valued at $42,000. When we asked Darrel to lower the value of this truck, he laughed at us and said he would rather have unsatisfied customer than lose any money. We decided that we were not going to be ripped off from this company anymore, as this has been our 4th vehicle from them. While waiting for turbo to be fixed the repair shop told us that there are cracks in the pipes and that it wont be covered under warranty and it will cost us $1200. Once again more money we spending out of our own pocket and yet another thing warranty wont cover. We asked Darrel that this should be something dealership should cover and he said no, we even talked to Casey at goauto customer service and he told us that it’s only suggested that we get pipes fixed but we can still drive this truck with cracked pipes. I couldn’t believe my ears, this guy just told us to drive this vehicle with cracked pipes and endanger ourselves on the road together with other people on the road.
I would recommend avoiding this dealership. I have never dealt with a dealership that was so out of touch with their staff and their decisions and how incredibly rude they are. Despite all of the poor reviews and warning we got about Team Ford, we decided to check it out because a friend of ours was a salesman there.
