Came here for a group dinner. Now just a little disclaimer here: I grew up eating Tropika at least once a week so that is where I learned to love Malaysian food and probably where my taste and preferences come from.
This is a pretty small restaurant so I definitely recommend making a reservation or coming at an odd time if you have a large party.

Their laksa is so good and huge! I ate until I was full and then took home the leftovers for another meal.
My dad tried laksa for the first time here (tamarind base) and now we have to go here every time he visits. My favourite is the seafood laksa but they're all great!
Positives:
Laksa was delicious. Couldn't put it down.
Okra/eggplant stir fry was full of flavor and would go very well with rice.
So so:
The papaya and mango salad was.... Well I've had better in the Vancouver/tricity area. A little too much carrot.
The service was fantastic.
I know that laksa is served at all the Malaysian restaurants but they do a real good job here.
