Sloooooooow Service
I always find that the service at Symposium is always sooo slow and they never seem to have enough staff working. Food is okay, but unfortunately I have not had an experience that included great food and great service.

Nice atmosphere. Service is pleasant but very slow. Never got the hot sauce asked for. Second coffee took 15 min, etc.
The food was decent but that was all.
If a friend wanted to go I wouldn't say no, but I would not recommend.

So basically my friends and I were trying to get a little buzz going at dinner before going out that night and read the "Cheap Eating in Waterloo" article from the cord looking for somewhere with a good pitcher deal. Such a large cake selection!! They change it up every day. I'm most impressed by how the servers memorize the choices every day. For the longest time I also didn't realize they had a patio in the back, but it's quite nice.
Would definitely recommend symposium for the desserts, the food is so-so.
