We love this little place
Absolutely authentic sushi place. Small, intimate, a tad stark and a sushi chef who exudes Japanese sushiness. Always fresh. Maybe a tad more expensive than most other run of the mill sushi places in Calgary, but worth every penny. Also has a great kitchen if you're looking for something cooked.
Best Sushi in Calgary - hands down
This place has been around for 30+ years by the same ownership/sushi chef. They get their fish from Japan, not Billingsgate like everyone else. And, its great! It is a bit more costly than most other places in town, but if you want the best in town, sorry, you have to pay for it. The only drawback is its location in Bowness. But if you can get around that (and it's a bit of charm to it ... a "grundgy" strip mall), then you will get the best sushi in town. Their kitchen of cooked food is also authentic and right up there in quality.

hmmm ... sushi
November 15, 2011Can't get enough of their deep fried squid sushi rolls. Their spicy california rolls are not bad either ... overall, very nice friendly place with decent service & good food.

October 24, 2011Not the best place for sushi, but a must good for an authentic home style Japaneses restaurant experience, the ones you see in manga. Also one of my regular place for Jap food.
