Great concept! ... average food
Great concept reclined eating at tables and authentic Moroccan kitchen. We have never had fast service here, although it is friendly. The food is, well, different, but nothing to write home about. Different, that's about all.
Portions a bit small
This restaurant is very interesting, very authentic and decorated in great Morrocan decor. You sit on a pillowy couch and eat with your hands (if you'd like). The platters are good for groups, because of the food they give you, but I found the portions a bit small in the end.
The name says it all
This restaurant really is like a Sultan's Tent inside. Traditional Moroccan decor, big pillowy seats, and incredible food. If you haven't had Moroccan food before, this is a must. Best Moroccan food in town, in my opinion, and apparently very accurately cultural food. Eat with your fingers if you want, the proper way, or you can get utensils. Great for a date night.

Bad service
January 26, 2008We felt ripped off, for the price of food: the service was slow, forgetful, mistaken, our food ended up getting cold because we were waiting for bread, got ripped off on the alcohol in our drinks (TINY amounts and I know my drinks). And frankly, the food was good, but not that great. and having it cooled off didn't help. I didn't expect this because I'd heard great things about this restaurant... more

September 29, 2005Although it is becoming increasingly popular in Calgary, it is really a niche restaurant. The food is paticularly bland and does not live up to the standards of other Middle Eastern, or North Afican resteraunts in the city.

It is an amazing dinning experiance . Deffiniatly a place that you will want to go bak to and the your gests will be talking about for a long time. It is my favorite place to go in Calgary.
