Bad attitude in service.

Dealing with Stan's Pools & Yards is very difficult. From the onset of dealing with this service, they were a problem.

I represent a Condominium Board and we pay our bills net 30; standard business practice. Stan's Pools & Yards was always on our case for immediate payment. They did so in a very annoying fashion by even harassing Board members and circumventing the property management company.

Making special requests to Stan's Pools & Yards was also not easy. I asked them on numerous occasions to remove dead shrubbery and trees over the course of the year. Instead, I got attitude and a long-winded, defensive, and combative 2-page letter from Stan's wife.

Finally, they dug up our dead shrubs and tree (not all of them) and they left potholes all over our property. As they wanted immediate payment on the shrubbery replacements, we were left scrambling to cut them a cheque payment immediately. Stan's Pools & Yards took our Condo corp. hostage for instant payment.

I do not know why Stan's Pools & Yards does not get a credit card to manage their operating expenses. Cash flow for them seems to be a problem. As a Board President, I do not have the time to put up with their money problems. We pay our bills so I do not understand why they were so pressed to get their cash right away. I even offered to pay a little extra if they needed net 30 days terms.

In the end, Stan's Pools & Yards decided to walk away from serving our Condo. They left us in a difficult situation as the pot holes on our property remain. Now I must get a new landscaper to fix this problem.

Stan's Pools & Yards is a terrible company with bad service. They are cheap, and difficult to work with. Avoid them to avoid the issues described above.
