Splendido is a great place for any occasion, but the menu options are a bit on the expensive side. It is in a great neighbourhood with many other restaurant options.
A fine-dining landmark in the South Annex, offering a contemporary Canadian menu with specialties like foie gras parfait and rabbit pappardelle, delivered by unpretentious servers who can suggest appropriate craft cocktails or pricey wines. There is also a four-course tasting menu and Sunday brunch.
