Kelly hangs-up and is very rude!

We had booked driver training with Kelly at Southland driving school for our son, for approx $700.00 and had some issues with illness during the inclass training, all of which was worked out fine enough. The real issue came about when we booked the driving part of his lessons, like any other young teen at this time, he had hockey evaluations going on, and unfortunately, you don't receive much notice for ice times at this time of year. We booked a schedule of driving lessons with the understanding from Kelly that even on short notice ( less than 48hrs. ) if needed, we could cancell. Well that's exactly what happened, we had to cancel a Sunday evening driving lesson due to an evaluation ice time and called first thing on Saturday morning and left a voice message. Approx. an hour later, we received a phone call from Kelly stating that we were going to be charged a cancellation fee of $68.25. When I started to explain that our son did indeed have an ice call and that we wouldn't have booked the lessons if we couldn't have made the adjustments, I was hung up on.

Shocked and surprised, I called the driving school back to ask why I was hung up on and asked for Kelly to call me back, ( not knowing that I was already speaking to Kelly ). A few minutes later, I received a call back. When asked why she hung up, I perceeded to get a quick lecture on phone edicate and that she was not going to argue with me!!

Do you know how you feel when you thought you were calmly trying to state something to someone and the next thing you know...they are jumping down your throat...that's exactely how I felt talking to Kelly.

Kelly started telling me that she had made all sorts of concessions for our son and that the driving instructors had to rework their schedules just for our son and it was on over-time no less.

There was to be no discussion!! I was wrong and I was being rude!!

I ended up cancelling my son from any more lessons with Southland driving school, which is probably where I was being pushed anyway. The bad part is I am now out about $700.00. I will however, send in a letter of complaint with the Better Business Bureau to maybe get a partial refund. If nothing else, hopefully this review will make anyone else think twice about using this company. I sure as heck won't ever again, and will make a point of telling all my son and daughter's friends parents not to either. Cheaper is not always better and even if someone tells you something, it is only being said to get your money. Lesson learned. Thanks for your time reading this.
