Some staff were bullies
Had a decent experience my first time but the second time turned out to be ridiculous. My friend and I were initially pleasantly served by a lady at the bar, and went to stand, talk, and dance near the dance floor after one shot each. We were then approached by a different waitress who asked if we'd like to order drinks, which we did. As we were dancing and waiting for her to come back, I suddenly felt myself showered with the open Bacardi Breezer she'd been carrying behind us. Unsure as to what had happened, I turned and asked if I'd bumped into her, though I wasn't sure, since I'd felt nothing but the spray of liquid. She immediately insisted that I had and then nearly tipped my friend's drink off the same tray she was carrying while talking to us (my friend grabbed it before it could slide off). The waitress then proceeded to inform me that I would have to pay for the spilled drink. My friend and I were surprised by this and I said, "I'm not even sure I bumped you, and I don't think it's fair to have to pay for it." She responded, "Well you're going to have to or the bouncer will make me pay for it." I told her I still didn't think that was right and she insisted I had to pay or leave. I told her we'd already been talking about leaving soon anyways (which was true, as my friend already wasn't loving the overall atmosphere, before the waitress ever came back). She then went and got one of the bouncers who said, "You bumped into her, you have to pay for the drink!" I once again responded that I wasn't entirely sure that I had, and didn't think I should have to pay for it and that we were leaving anyways, to which he responded, "You can't leave until you pay for it." I raised my eyebrows at the rude bouncer and was about to just walk out, but my friend felt intimidated and just gave him cash. I told her, "No, you don't have to do that, it's not right," but they had already taken her money and we left shortly afterwards. Overall, horrendous customer service. Have heard similar stories from other dissatisfied customers since, as well. Another waitress at the next location we went to said they would never do that to their customers and would have simply replaced the drink, probably apologized for spilling all over us, and simply chalk spilled drinks, broken glasses, etc. up to normal waste in their restaurant, like most places do. Wouldn't want anyone else to have a similarly bad experience as we did at Sound Garden in Lethbridge. Won't be going back there unless we hear it's under new management/staffing.
what a joke!
I went to this over 21 nightclub and was dissapointed to see so many young girls there, no point of saying that you're a 21 and over club if you have 18 year old girls in there. The music was what I expected but I was shocked to see the goon squad bouncers beat a man up in between their entrance doors and over heard a girl ask a really tall doorman if he was going to stop what was going on and he simply smerked at the girl and said that if that particular bouncer was doing that then the guy deserved it!
This bar has gone downhill in the last five years, not enough rock and way to much dance music, and the owner is a drunk who has very little concern for anyone!
I for one will go to Essies before I ever go back to this hole!
sound garden
i have been a patron of the sound garden since they have opened.. In the past I have been very pleased with astablishment, but in the present, I have been very disapointed with magements lack of apprecation of the regulars. They seem to have a attitude that we can treat any one any way they want. No thoght of who helped them buld the establishment.
if you want to be treated as if you dont matter id recomend this place.
But if you are in lethbridge, and would like to go a place that treats a patron right id go to Boss hogs. its right across the street, and there is actualy a level of apprecation
