Bad Service, Bad Results

Okay, so let's start from the beginning. I booked an appointment at this salon (because my normal salon and favourite - ID - was booked...bad idea!). I scheduled an appointment with a senior stylist thinking this would be the best idea to get the best results. So he was pleasant and professional throughout the experience, but I noticed did not ask me very many questions... I guessed he assumed he knew what I wanted, and I assumed he understood what I had requested (very fine blond highlights and a trim). Three hours go by and my hair turns out an awful shade of yellowy copper, and the cut is one of the worst I've had. I thought it might have been the lighting, but I got home and was in tears. I called right away to discuss this problem and spoke to the manager. She asked me to come in so she could have a look. She tried to fix the cut, and gave me a refund for the cut. She also gave me a free shampoo and conditioner and said the next time I came in she would give me free highlights. She seemed really nice and professional at the time. HOWEVER, about 2 months later I booked the appointment to have the highlights fixed. I missed the first appointment because I was driving home from work and there was traffic (I could not call because I don't have a cell phone). So I rebooked and was a bit late for the second appointment, but she practically lectured me when I got there... SO RUDE! I couldn't believe it. I was apologizing profusely, and she just wasn't having it! She did the highlights, was really snippy about asking me what I wanted, actually reprimanded one of the other stylists right infront of me, and did an overall terrible job. My highlights are chunky, and in some places are 3 different colours. Now, I acknowledge the fact that I should not have been late, and that must have been annoying... but HELLO, I was there because they screwed up... they should have been treating me with a bit more respect. If their intention was to have me return as a client... it is NOT happening! Such a bad experience, I hope this helps you decide to NOT go to Solace! Go to ID instead!!! You might have to wait to get an appointment at ID, but trust me it is worth the wait - they are professional, capable and most of all they are nice!
