Sneaky Dee's is a Toronto institution, best known for the bands that played there during Toronto's last music heyday in the late 1970s. Today it continues to be a popular place for both veteran and up-and-coming acts who play in the up-stairs room. The menu has a strong Mexican flavour, plus the usual pub fare and a good selection of beers on tap.
Not only does Sneaky Dee's have a great selection of mexican favourites (the nachos are amazing as well as Pepe's Pockets), they also serve a pretty big breakfast for super cheap. Check it out!
Best Nachos around! So very tasty! Place is dingy and maybe a little intimidating to first timers but its great for some after bar eats! MMMMMMMM!
Great atmosphere and delicious nachos at Sneaky Dee's. They also have bands that play and it makes for a great night out.
While this College Street venue for "local and indie bands" "ain't pretty", it's "definitely an institution" among student crowds, thanks to "cheap cover", budget beer and "phenomenal nachos" served by a "friendly" staff; while most come to "dance and see live music", insiders quip that you could "spend all night reading the graffiti on the walls of the bathroom."
The antidote to the glut of posh clubs that have been proliferating in Toronto, this long-established oasis of dive-bar boasts pool tables, Mexican food, and alternative rock (from live bands or spun by a DJ) in the club upstairs until 2am. Downstairs, the bar is open until 3am on weekdays, 4:30am on weekends.
I am confident that when Elvis wrote "heartbreak Bar" he was talking about this place.
The atmosphere is douchy and sociopath-esque, any one who says otherwise is probably the same type of person who puts their socks on first when getting dressed: horrible.
Great natchos, best in the city. I havw been coming herre for almost thrre years but mosty in mid afternoon. They are Fast at getting food and drinks. Very friendy. Plays a verity of music. It has a grudey atumosfer but is refreshing. The first time stayijg tell last call they take your remaining of your drinks around 230 witch was a big disapointment and if not knowing of this ends your night... more
$3.50 for a pop that was flat and off taste.
On the whole, way overpriced for the quality.
Unassuming bar serving Tex-Mex fare & known for its nachos, with edgy live music & DJs upstairs.
Shaggy students, nubile waifs and tattooed twenty-somethings slug back pitchers of cold drafts and chow down on cheesy nachos or cheap, all-day breakfast. With the kitchen open until the wee hours, Sneaky Dee’s is one of the prime places in Toronto to satisfy the late-night munchies. Fast service and surprisingly good Mexican fare more than make up for the cavernous and questionable basement... more
