This pub dates from 1855 and has a rich history. Originally named the Parson's Bridge Hotel, it was filled with sailors when the Esquimalt Naval Base opened nearby in 1864. One of my favorites, a hidden gem for when I want pub fare. I live downtown Victoria and I'd sooner drive out to the Six for the food. I've taken friends, family, visitors, and clients there many times.

POSITIVES: Spacious rooms and comfortable seating. Plentiful parking. Shepard's Pie was very tasty. We loved the apple cobbler desert. NEGATIVES: The Plowman's Board was OK, but nothing special. OVERALL: Perfectly enjoyable pub if you are in the area. But nothing so special as to drive out of the way for.
I'm a regular Wednesday night visitor to this restaurant with a NASCAR group. Tonight I did not get served. Many people at my table did not get asked for refills or food items either.
