Very popular for younger crowd
Great selection of beer on tap. One of the few places in Calgary that has MooseHead on tap. Great place for action, and usually packed. Great patio on 17th.
Why is this place popular?
I think it's because other people go here. It's always busy, but it's nothing special! Really overpriced beer is that popular, I guess?
I'm voting against the trend
Sorry everyone, I know you all love the Ship, but why? It's over-priced, always way too busy and there are so many better places to go. Okay, they do have the greatest patio around, but you can never get a seat on a hot summer day. Keep walking, find somewhere else.

The Ship & Anchor is my #1 pick for pubs. The atmosphere is unique yet comforting. They have one of the best selections of beer on tap in the city. Check it out if you haven't already.
