Terrible! Don't go there!

We took one of our two Shih Tzu cross puppies back to Shear Magic at 8 months old for a shorter cut for the summer. We knew that his legs would be cut short but asked that the rest be left longer. THEY DID WHATEVER WAS EASIEST FOR THEM!!! They cut his 4-5 inch coat down to less than 1/2 inch all over!! And even then, some areas were down to bare skin and in others there are longer patches. He looks absolutely horrible. I don't know what else they did to him, but he is very traumatized by the incident, wanting to be held all the time, and having difficulty with bodily functions. I was told by the staff that he was very good, so I don't understand why this has happened. When we talked to staff about it, she said THEY decided it had to be done that way or he would have looked funny. They had no right to do this without consulting us. It was NOT what we asked them to do, and they had no business cutting him down so much when we explicitly told them 4-5 times that we wanted the top to be left longer. If they couldn't do what we wanted, they should have told us that up front. I don't think he could look worse than he does now!! I will not be taking either of my dogs there again.
