It's built like a big course but has an executive style par and a shorter course than a 72. The slope is below 100, so everyone's gonna come away with a good score that makes them feel good, even though they've finished an 18. What fun!
Golf here a lot. This year's reopening after renovations for Bow Trail widening has left the 6th hole a Par 3 rather than a Par 4. Now the last 4 holes are Pars 3,3,4,3 ... not quite as interesting as before. Overall still a great little course though.

Ideal place for a few leisurely rounds. They have scenic views overlooking the river and city. Despite encountering a noisy couple on my last trip, I think this still deserves a good 4 stars.
Shag is a great inner city course! This course was perfect for my husband and I as we were visiting from Coeur d'Alene. We didn't want to golf all day but we got outside to enjoy what Calgary has to offer. Not the nicest gold course I've ever been to but I didn't want that. Wish I had my kids with me as this would have been perfect for them. The staff was awesome! I would definitely come back.
