My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Sandman in Winnipeg more than we had anticipated. We expected the room to be nice and it was, however we were surprised by the two excellent restaurant choices built into the hotel and the fact that it was within easy walking distance to Canada Inn stadium where we were going for a concert. The hotel was excellent. It is not situated in a convenient location, and don't go there looking for scenery, but in terms of accomodations, they were superb. Arguably the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a hotel.
