Its simply perfect. The atmosphere is about as cozy as it gets without a fireplace. Going maybe once every month or two, the staff remembered us down to the drinks we ordered! Discovered that "best" was not the proper adjective to use. "Largest" would have been more accurate. This fish was big! Unfortunately while it beat any other fish I've tasted sizewize it lacked in taste. The batter is probably the worst that I've tasted in years. It comes in two varieties one of which I haven't tasted. Avoid the Bread Crumbs style batter at all cost!!! It tastes (and looks) like burnt toasts... It was probably left too long in the fryer...Beer selection and side orders were nothing out of the ordinary. I'm still looking for that enigmatic "best fish'n chips" place in Ottawa.
