The History
Affectionately referred to as "The Tank or The Garage," General Motors Place opened its doors to the public on September 17, 1995. Certainly a unique building, it is the first privately financed facility of this size since Maple Leaf Gardens opened in Toronto in the mid 1930s. Designed by Architectural firm Brisbin, Brook and Beynon and built by Huber, Hunt & Nichols, in a Joint... more

Cool spot. Expensive ish but typical arena food prices. I have been here for many Canucks games, concerts and shows.

I like it here. Venue staff are professional and kind. The exiting of the crowds is pretty much streamlined, as is the entry process.

Box seating here too is a must try, especially for those who like their personal space (each suite has its own server who can even go down and... more

The good news is, in a world where large public venues are few and far between (this is probably a good thing), Rogers does it pretty well. It's conveniently located across from the SkyTrain... more

Locally also known as "The Cable Box" and "The Phone Booth", Rogers Arena is downtown's modern entertainment complex. The arena boasts the latest technology and great lines of sight from all seats. It is also home to the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. There are family restaurants, cappuccino bars, Mexican burrito stands, pizza parlors, popcorn and pop kiosks and a beer garden. For fine dining,... more
