Very Poor Service - Not Recommended

I went to Rodeo Jewellers today to look and possibly buy an Omega Seamaster watch for my father. I went there as I had heard some decent information about them and that they have good prices.

Boy what a disappointment!! Upon entering, I was greeted by a very pleasant sales lady who showed me the watch I was interested in. Once we started talking prices, she called the owner (who was in the store) over. What an unpleasant experience t is all I have to say.

When I said I was interested and had been shopping around and would definitely buy if he could give me a good price, his first response was that he didn't care about other stores and his price was his price. That should have rang alarm bells with me but I pressed on.

He asked for my price and when I was a bit reluctant to give my price, he got a bit annoyed and gave me his price which ended being a tiny bit above 20% off with lifetime battery changes. The battery changes to me are not such a big deal as there are some great watch service stores in Vancouver that charge reasonable rates for battery changes.

I then showed him the price I was interested in which was 25% off which I think is a reasonable discount based on other quotes. He said he couldn't do it and then proceeded to say that his price was his special right now and he couldn't guarantee it would be offered again if I left. I then replied to him that I really didn't appreciate the high pressure sales tactics.

He then got upset and told the sales lady to put away the watch. He then went over and opened the door and said thanks for coming by. By opening the door, I sure got the message that he was kicking me out of the store.

All I can say was boy was I surprised and offended at such bad service. With such service, there's no way I will ever go back to them. Even if I had to pay a bit more, I'll buy from someone else.

Very poor service. I would recommend everyone stay away from them.
