Worst customer service ever! Will never return!

I had been going to The Rock Salon and Spa in St. Albert for years seeing the same girl each time, I would get a trim and foils. Well last year (2008) I went and got my hair done as usual with the same girl I always had and when I went to pay the bill it was $100 higher than the last time! When I complained to the manager I was advised that my stylist had become a "master stylist" and their prices had increased since the last time I was there. And that's all fine and dandy but this is information that should have been presented to me BEFORE I received my services, not afterwards. I explained to the manager (who I also believe is the owner) that I am a regular and I have a pedicure there in a week, could we do something about that, perhaps 10% off or something (would still not make the price right but at least would be a gesture of customer service and a desire to maintain a customer), she refused. She went on to tell me she was busy and could not help me. Nice. $300 for foils and a trim. I checked, and no, the dye was not gold so wtf? Needless to say I haven't returned and have since found a new girl who does the same thing for under $200.

The reason for my rating here is the level of customer service, once there was an issue and a customer was upset about something, the manager/owner could not have cared less and showed zero effort to rectify the situation. All I wanted was SOMETHING, and they would have kept me as a customer and would have avoided the poor word of mouth I share as often as possible. If she didn't care when I was upset, she won't when you are.

Oh, and make sure to get a quote each and every time you go, even if you've been seeing the same girl every time for the past few years because they don't advise you of price changes until AFTER you received the service and it's time to pay. Very deceptive in my opinion. I'm sure I'm not the first customer they've lost due to that bs.
