Great Greek food, nice atmosphere
August 24, 2013We enjoyed a dinner of souvlaki and a roast lamb sautéed with feta, tomatoes, and baby spinach. So tender and flavourful, you can tell this was authentic Greek cooking, certainly not a "freeze answer reheat" restaurant. The Greek salad was very fresh and plentiful. A nice restaurant

I was happy to find a Mediterranean/Greek restaurant in Midland so that I wouldn't have to commute to the nearest city to satisfy my cravings. We both ordered the souvlaki dinners and it was quite good.
The service there was acceptable. The waitress left us with a neutral impression - that of someone just doing her job. Fortunately the food...

Good Mediterranean Fare
July 14, 2013The Riv is a semi-casual/semi-formal restaurant in downtown Midland. You must make reservations, as the inside is not too large, and does get rather tight/crowded on busy nights. The food is really good if you like that sort of menu, but the prices are rather high, and the service is so-so.
