I've consistently gone to Zeal Hair Salon for probably the last 3-4 years of my life. While I admit part of the reason for this is because I'm the laziest person in town and don't want to find a new salon, it's also because I can count of them to not give me a disaster cut.

Best hair cut I never had... Every single time!!
They totally understand my hair and after an hair cut my hair looks great for months.
Also they have a really good quality Flat iron. My hair can stay flat for 24h straight.

I like the fact they can blow dry my hair real quick, as they are two stylist are taking care of it. Team work instead taking forever...Check!!

Obviously (look at my headshot) I didn't get my hair cut here, but I took my daughter to get her bangs trimmed. Great job, the guy who cut her hair (Naoya) understood how to talk to children, which is a big deal for me, and we'll certainly be back.

I just got my hair blow dried by Shoko..amazing! She's great and so is the entire staff!

This is a proper Japanese style salon, and they are so culturally aware of that!

So I got my mane washed, and blow dried for only $30, great prices! I loved the way Shoko handled my hair, she was awesome and so gentle. I highly recommend her!

Omg this place was amazing. Jacob cut and styled my hair and it looks amazing. The pricing is unbelievably affordable.

Zeal all the way

Every time I visit Vancouver, I have to make a stop at Zeal. It's like my trip to Vancouver is not complete without Zeal! So far I've had hair cuts, colors and treatments from here and loved them all. I always ask for a master cut, it's more expensive, but I think it's well worth it since it's like that extra insurance for getting a good cut and the cuts so far have always grown out nicely.

I tried this place after being disappointed by Chura. Definitely more expensive, the cut was ~$55.
The hairstylist was a guy but forgot his name now.. But the hair grew out nicely after a cut here, and that's always a good sign that the stylist did a good job. I am not sure if I want to come back here, as I found a better salon! But I really liked their massage chair while having my hair... more

My hair is really long, so loose perms just get weighed down back to straight. My stylist here recommended Digital Perm, which means they hook up the curlers to a heating machine to perm, in addition to adding chemicals. Apparently, it stays longer, too. I was pleased with the result.
